POP The Fashion Store launch: A slice of Scandinavia

As I’m currently ‘grounded’ in the Buckinghamshire countryside, it’s nice when something a little different rocks up. My nearest town – just down the road – is the pretty market centre of Olney and luckily it has just about enough on offer to stop me from going completely mad in this ridiculously bucolic country life of mine.

Last week, I headed down to the press launch of POP The Fashion Store, which is – amazingly – a little slice of Scandinavia. It’s the latest venture of Finnish Kaisa and she brings to it her own personal style and her insight as a fashion journalist and PR. Not only did I get to check out all the merchandise, but I also got to nibble on alcoholic cupcakes.

Stocked with a variety of small, ethical labels, I loved the Poola Kataryna leather necklaces made from reclaimed furniture and the fierce, vertiginous heels courtesy of Finsk. Now, I don’t know a lot about fashion but the clean lines and unique fabrics with an injection of edginess certainly rock my boat. I just wish they would rock it all the way to Norway.
